REv. Errol Thomas, Jr.

Rev. Errol is a graduate of White Station High School in Memphis, TN and Howard University in Washington, D.C.  He attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in June 2000 with a Doctor of Medicine and completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee in 2003.  He is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been employed as Staff Physician in the Department of Ambulatory Care at the Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr. VA Medical Center at Memphis since completing residency.  He currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer for the Central and Women’s Primary Care Clinics located on the main campus of VA Medical Center at Memphis.  He additionally serves as owner and Medical Director of the South Memphis Clinic, LLC and Allied Clinic, LLC, two clinics in five locations in the Memphis area which specialize in personal injury and physical therapy rehabilitation services.

 

Rev. Errol was ordained an Itinerant Elder in the A.M.E. Church under the leadership of Bishop Vasthi Murphy McKenzie at the 137th Session of the West Tennessee Annual Conference in October 2011.  He served as the Minster to Men at St. Andrew A.M.E. Church in Memphis from 2005 until being appointed by Bishop Jeffrey Leath to pastor Wright’s Chapel A.M.E. Church in Arlington, TN in October of 2014.  He served as Senior Pastor there through October of 2017 when he was then reappointed to St. John A.M.E. in Memphis where he served through 2022.  At the 148th session of the West Tennessee Annual Conference he was appointed by Bishop Anne Henning Byfield to serve as Pastor at Mt. Herman A.M.E. Church in Dixonville area of Millington, TN.  He has served as a Trustee of the West Tennessee Annual Conference since 2021.  He is married to his wife LaToya of 21 years and has three sons, Errol Jaden, James Allen and Noah Christian who are students in the Collierville Municipal School District.
